FLRM Application for Wife

Post by Jibri Sarkar » Sun Oct 09, 2016 8:40 pm

Hi All,
I am in process of applying FLRM for my wife and I am confused even after reading guidance many times. My salary in enough to match the financial requirements however in June I was on Paternity leave for two weeks and received statutory pay so my gross salary basic pay was low for that specific month, however if statutory pay include in basic pay then I meet the financial requirement. My understanding was that I can submit 7 months payslips and home office with ignore the month in which I received SPP. Upon reading again I am confused that I may have to provide 6 month payslips prior receiving SPP means from Dec 15 to May 16.
Please guide me as I need to apply it by Tuesday. also My salary included some guaranteed bonuses so what salary should I put, the gross salary before bonus or after bonus?

I have used below formula when I first applied spouse visa and it worked for me.
Let X be your total income in last 6 months:
X = first month + 2 + 3+4 ... up to last month

to meet the requirement then
X should be equal to or greater than 18600/2

hope that helps.

Thanks for reply,

If disregard the SSP and add 6 months basic pay then its more then £10,000 but I heard that they take lowest of six months which means in the month i was on paternity pay my basic pay was around £1300 which then comes below the threshold if times 12. have you had same scenario as mine?

Yes, correct. my wife was non-salaried employee.

but why do you have to disregard the SSP? is not that still count as an income?
