Visitor visa for parents

Post by nandug23 » Sun Oct 09, 2016 11:31 pm

Hello All,

This is with regards to a standard visitor visa that I'm planning to apply for my parents in India. I'm self employed here along with my wife. My query is very specific to bank account of the applicants (my parents).

My father was employed with a small co-operative bank which is now shutdown. He doesn't receive any pension at all and the salary as such was very less when he was employed. My mother is a house wife. My father's bank account has a lot of inward money transactions which are not meant for him (he runs a hostel and receives money on behalf of students staying there). I have been told that these transactions will not go fine with the case officer and he may reject the visa citing unexplained source of funds. Therefore, I'm planning to apply the visa stating that myself and my wife are going to joint sponsors for their trip completely. This way, he would not be required to provide any of his bank account statements as we are going to bear all the expenses and are submitting our 6 month bank statements. We have a healthy bank balance to support this claim. We would however be submitting 2 property registration documents (along with a CA letter evaluating these properties) to assure that he will return to India at the end of his visa duration. Rest all documents are being submitted as usual.

Please let me know if this is fine.

Kind regards
Nanda.

No need for multiple, repeated posts.
