Need some help

Hi, I need some advice on my naturalisation application. Actually I came in uk in 2004 on a student visa.i had 3 student visa extensions until 2011 and that's when I has Masters from university of wales. in the same year I was granted PSW visa in 2011 which expired in 2013.then I applied for entrepreneur visa which was refused because of the bank letter of third party.i went on appeal on first tribunal and my hearing date was around 8 months later but I got refused in first tribunal and then I appeal in upper tribunal but I had my appeal withdraw soon after because I had completed my 10 years.nov 2014 I sent a new application for indefinite leave to remain which was accepted and I was granted visa in march 2015.
its been more than 1 year and 7 months since I'm on indefinite leave to remain. I didn't spent more than 150 days in 10 years out of uk. I never spent more than 2 weeks out of uk in any time on holidays.i have no criminal record no ccjs nothing at all, I spoke to a lawyer few dasy backa dn he said its safe for me to apply for citizenship. I just don't want to waste any money, can you guys please put some light on it, thank you

I am no expert but here is my two cents. This is based on what I have read on other posts in this forum.

Because you withdrew your appeal you will be considered an over stayer by the HO and you are barred and can only apply 10 years after you were legal i.e. 10 years from ILR date. I have read of many people in the same boat as you. Some have been successful on reconsideration.

I am quite surprised your lawyer told you its safe to apply. Just goes to show how this forum provides more knowledge then the legal profession

Hi, thanks for reply. I raised the same point with the lawyer however he was not agreed with me. He said I had an option to send the 2nd application( which I did, ) and if that application
was refused only then I would be considered over stayer.
