Naturalisation.

Post by mish30 » Thu Oct 13, 2016 10:25 pm

Hi All

I have a question that i hope someone could please answer for me.

DLR Granted: 24/04/2010
ILR SET (O) - DLR 3 years x 2
Date of Postage: 09/05/2016
Date of Reception: 10/05/2016
Payment Taken: 11/05/2016
Biometric letter dated:14/06/2016
Biometric letter recieved:17/06/2016
Biometrics enrolment:25/06/2016
ILR granted:05/10/2016

Is it true that according to the previous immigration laws I will be eligible to apply for naturalisation next year, I was granted DLR in 2010 for six years then I need to hold ILR for one year before I can apply for naturalisation.
I was granted DLR before the good character assessment laws were introduced or do the new laws apply to me as well and I have to wait until 2020 to apply for naturalisation?

Your response will be much appreciated. :D

Good character assessment will apply.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
