UK spouse visa - cat D cash savings -adequate accommodation

Post by saeed582 » Fri Oct 14, 2016 3:55 pm

hi, i am a British citizen living and married for almost 3 years in iran with an Iranian girl.
i will be returning to the UK with my wife, using category D cash savings to meet the financial requirement.
i will be staying in a friend’s house for a weak or two and then renting one afterwards when i get back.

i am very confused with the adequate accommodation requirement, now my question is:
would using this category (cash savings) covers the adequate accommodation requirement ? if not, then what could be the evidence? do i need to have a rental agreement? or contract? or proof of an address ( bills, council tax or …) ?
i would appreciate if anyone could answer my questions,
many thanks

Does this friend have an extra bedroom in his home to accommodate you, and at the same time have enough space for all his dependents.
