My understanding is you can enter Germany visafree (as an American) but you would need a domestic work visa to cover working.BongoBarney wrote:Hi there. I am new to this forum. I am an American Citizen with an American Passport and i have ILR already here in the United Kingdom and have for nearly 20 years. My question is this. I have been invited to work for three days in Germany. I am a musician and i have been asked to teach and perform over a three day period. I asked if i needed a work permit and was told that since i pay my taxes in the UK, that i am allowed to do this. I feel uncertain about this though and don't want to get there only to be denied entry. Does anyone know if this is ok or do i need some sort of additional visas or permits? If so, which ones and how and where would i start the process? Thank you very much in advance. Like i said, i am brand new to the forum so i'm hoping that i am asking this question in the right part of this forum. Thanks again.
