Passport renewal, spouse second name, travel with BRP

Hi guys & girls I'm looking for some information with regards to my wife's Indonesian passport renewal.

My wife currently lives with me in Scotland on a spouse visa. Her passport is due for renewal in April 2017, I understand this can be renewed in London but my wife would like to take my second name on her new passport which needs to be done in Jakarta according to the embassy in London. Our concern is if she does get the new passport with the name change her BRP will still be the same as her old passport.
Does anybody think we will have any trouble traveling back to the UK with the name change on new passport along with her valid BRP & old passport?

Is it possible that the British embassy in Jakarta could give her a document for travel?

I'm sure this will not be the first time this kind of thing has happened.
