Hi all
After living and working in France for 18 months and having my non eu wife join me, she obtained a french residence card and we returned to the UK a few months ago. I am now working in the UK again and we are about to submit her application for a UK residence card. we went to france as a had a family member who was happy to employ me. however with monthly bank statements spanning 20 months, 20 wage slips, tenancy agreement, electricity bills and language certificates etc (proving centre of life) we have over 70 pages to translate - likely to cost a couple grand to do so as the translation companies in the UK want around £20 per page.
I did find professional translators through upwork(an online freelancers database) but, as the documents are produced electronically, they will not be stamped and certified the way you would expect with a UK translation service.
so, rather than submitting all documents for translation - i was wondering if we can put in less. the question is how much as too little and how much is too much?
if anyone can assist with telling me how many document to translate and submit, i would appreciate it.
I was thinking of maybe submitting a translation for every fourth month (eg for bank statements) but still including the original french statements for each month. the statements show salary being received and the rent being paid etc.
kind egards
