P60’s (2006 - 2007) previous employment

Post by ronascotland294 » Thu Oct 20, 2016 12:13 pm

Good Afternoon,
I am writing in reference to question 1.48 – 1.50
“You must provide details of all your National Insurance contributions made
for your current and previous employment during the past 10 years. To support this
claim evidence can be in the form of payslips, P60s covering the relevant period, or a
letter(s) from the employer(s) confirming you have worked for them, from the start
and finish date. "
Bit a background I was student / Fresh Talent initiative working in Scotland / 5 years’ sponsorship by current employer (Tier 2) / ILR
I have 8 P60’s however I am missing 2 P60.’s for 2007 – 2006 for my work during university to complete the full 10 years.
Question is: Would the NCS accept letter from my current employer (same one for the last 8 years and P60’s or do I have to wait for HRMC to provide me with work history).
Thank you kindly in advance.

Letter from current employer is acceptable as per the instructions. Then no need for P60s for the eight years. If the company/ies for the missing years still exist perhaps they can also supply a letter.
If all else fails HMRC history, and/or explain the situation, especially if companies no longer in existence etc.

Many thanks for your response - can you please clarify that a letter of the company for 8 years would suffice? Thank you kindly in advance. Take care

I haven't had my approval yet, but I stuck with the requirement and included a letter from my employer stating my name and start date (no leave date as I am still working for them and have so for over 10 years), job title, etc.
