Help! Cohabitation / De Facto Visa for NON EU

Post by sylar » Thu Oct 20, 2016 5:23 pm

Hi, I have a complicate question.
I explain the situation.
My girlfriend is Serbian ( non EU ) I'm Italian, we moved together in Belgium cause she is doing an internship for 6 months, so she has a visa for such time.
I don't want to go back to Italy, I would like to find a job in Europe somewhere probably Ireland, England or Germany, because here I have difficulties to find a job since I don't speak french, but I might find it.
If I find a job here in Belgium she can get a cohabitation visa after 6 months that we have been living together, so she can work here, but this is valid only for Belgium.
If I don't find a job I would like to move to another EU country that is not gonna be Italy.
My question is, is there any European law on immigration that basically says: A non EU citizenship can obtain a temporary visa if she has been living at least for 6 months with an EU partner?
If not we are gonna have to split up and this is very sad, I can't immagine there is not such law on European level and couples are forced to get married just to get a bloody visa.
Anyone can help?

There is no boyfriend/girlfriend visa. You need to have been in a relationship akin to marriage for at least 2 years for her to be classed as an extended family member under EEA regulations.
