Child Visa Rejected (help)

Post by martinyo » Sat Oct 22, 2016 8:16 pm

dear forum members,
thanks for this wealth of information here, it has benefitted many people like me.
this is my first post, please help me with your experience and knowledge.
I am British Citizen my wife is on a dependent visa.
We applied visa for my son (he was born outside the EU a week before I naturalized) which was refused by giving following reasons

a: "Bank statement not original and not authorized by bank" (we had given scan copy of statement printed at bank but not accompanied with bank letterhead)
b: "recent payslip missing" (I had given one year full payslips, past two year P60 and HMRC self assessment summary, also highlighted recent salary credit for which payslip was missing. I was above the required financial threshold from past 7 years of my employment)
c: "Employer letter missing, confirming my employment"(this is my mistake)

The ECO writes he also considered whether there are any exceptional circumstance consistent with respect to family life as per human rights, he says he do not think so.

they took nearly 3 months to say this during this time I lost my full time job (2 months ago) and currently just started self-employment with a limited company (yet to earn)

What are my chances for appeal(if there are any) ?

Thank you
will be grateful for your replies

Is the child still eligible?

They may still re-refuse, if the circumstances have sufficiently changed to make the child ineligible.

Thanks for your reply.
since now I'm self employed, I would not be eligible for fresh application they would want tax returns and all that as evidence of finance for new job which is another 12 months wait.
In terms of real finance I've just got contracts which means i would be earning above required threshold and never would take public funds, however I am aware they will not consider all this nor my financial history.
On the day of application I was eligible I could have proven that.
Is there any chance of applying for visitor visa later?, I just want to spend couple months with my kid ?
