FLR (M) spouse extension visa

Post by rana80 » Sun Oct 23, 2016 5:08 pm

Hi members hope you can help me clear a few doubts e regarding extending my wife's visa. I am a British citizen and my wife is extending her visa as - spouse of a partner settled in UK.

Since my wife's arrival in the Uk she has stayed with me in the same address. Do i need to include the period where she was on holiday for 2 months in the application. (Section 6.9)

English Language requirement - Have a certificate from Uk Naric confirming proficiency meeting level C1 for my wife's degree abroad. Also she wrote her IELTS in Dec 2013. She was granted visa based on her IELTS score initially for English requirement. Do i have to include her previous IELTS report with the application (Sectio 8.4)

From my reading of the application you answer Yes to 6.9 and then skip forward to 6.16, assuming you were still living at the same address. Your evidence for the two years prior to application should cover this. If worried, you can explain the long holiday in a cover note, I'd think.

I'm not an expert on the language requirement, but if you have extra documentation it will never hurt to include it and explain that also on a cover note.

Good luck - perhaps someone else here can be more clear on the language document(s).
