Visit Visa

Hello

I am from Saudi Arabia.I applied for visit visa in June 2016,my brother is EU national
Our applications were sent to abu dhabi and we didnt recieve any information until we called the councilor of the embassy.He told that our visa were still in process and doesnt know how much time it can take.
Is anyone having a similar case or if anyone can provide me with the information of the maximum time it will take to process a simple visit visa.

My parents visit visa from Pakistan took over 7 months. I am an Irish citizen, living and working here long time.

Its an absolute disgrace to wait for 7 month for 3 months visa....
