Travelling with a baby without Passport and Visa

Post by Archi19 » Mon Oct 24, 2016 1:34 pm

Hello all,

I applied PBS dependent application for my daughter on 20th September 2016. I got biometric letter within week and I completed my daughter biometric process on same day 1st October, 2016. I was expecting I will get back visa decision in 3 weeks after biometric done but I did not get back any update till now.

I am in urgent to travel India next week on 1st November along with my daughter, so my query is: can we travel to India without baby's passport?

Once Passport arrives from home office to my home in UK, my husband will bring it to India with him so that we can come back to UK easily.

Please help me if there is any other way to do it, its really urgent.

Thanks

The airline won't permit your baby to travel without a valid passport.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

No, every traveller needs a travel document.
In the interests of child protection, which is just one consideration the officials will be making, how can you prove its your child.
And how do you expect to check in and board the plane with a child with no papers?!
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.

Thank you both for your quick reply.

Can I apply for an Emergency Certificate in this case for my daughter please?
