Divorce from EEA national after acquiring PR

Hi everyone,

It's my very first post here. Thank you very much for your help in advance.

I have a question regarding divorce from my EEA hudsband within less than a year of acquiring Permanent Residence Card.

My questions are:

1. Would the divorce affect my current status of PR? Do I need to report the change of my marriage status somewhere?

2. Once the divorce is completed, what would I need to do if I intend to continue staying in the UK. Would I need to re-apply for another Visa?

PR and a PR card is not a 'visa'.
You don't seem to be very clear on what PR means.
Read EU Directive 2004/38/EC as transposed into UK's EEA Regulations 2006.
