Hello everyone, I am new to this board. My wife and I are just getting started on the due diligence of applying for the entrepreneur visa, and I was reading through the gov.uk overview and had a question on the 50k investment criteria. It shows four options: a 1) UK entrepreneurial seed funding competition endorsed by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI)
a 2) UK government department making funds available for the purpose of setting up or expanding a UK business
a 3) venture capital firm registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). I don't think anyone of these three options would work for us, but the fourth one is appealing to us: You can also apply if you’ve already invested £50,000 in a UK business. You must have invested the funds less than 12 months before you apply. Has anyone done their visa via this fourth option? If so, how did you go about finding the right company or business to invest in? Were you able to fund it from your bank in your home country? And once invested does that business become your UK address? Thanks in advance, Cheers
