Tier 2 Gen SponsoredVisa - Employer lost sponsorship license

Post by JiaTia » Tue Nov 01, 2016 4:23 pm

Hi,

I am in urgent need of advise.

My employer lost their sponsorship license recently. I came to know about this just 2 weeks ago.

The concern is that my visa is expiring in December 2016.

My employer is saying that they are in the process to file for Judicial review and Interim relief . They are saying that I will be protected if they get the approval to be on Interim relief process. They are saying that I can work for them even after my visa expiry. Is this true?

They have got this information from a lawyer. But I am concerned as it doesn't sound safe. Please let me know.. Also they are asking me to write some statements to file for Interim relief.

Thanks

They wont be able to issue u a new a cos.
You are entitled to work till u get the curtailment letter, which since your expiry in december, u might not get.
You need to find a new sponsor or hope they get a new licence between now and december, which seems unlikely.
They h=must have done something majorly wrong to loose the licence.

Thank you for your response.

I am being told that my employer can make an application if they get Interim relief. The application will be of pending status until the results of Judicial review. However I can still continue to work for the employer during this period.

Please suggest me, what impact this would have if I quit the job and look for new opportunities? Am I allowed to stay in the country legally for 28 days? If I do this would it have any impact on my situation at the moment?

Thanks!
