Visa needed for Spain??

Hi I have a Gambian passport and have lived in the U.K with indefinate right to enter visa and have a biometric residents card.
I would like to go to Spain on holiday do I need a visa for Spain ..
Would be grateful for some accurate information

Yes. You need to apply for a Spanish Schengen visa. The airline won't allow you to travel without it and the Spanish border control officer won't permit you entry.
