UK Multiple Visas

Hi - I have got a 5 year general UK visa. I am planning to apply for a short-term student visitor visa ( 6 months ). Will I be able to hold two visas at the same time? Will my previous visa be canceled?

A 5 year general UK visa'? What category of visa. Visitor :?:

You are unable to hold two visas at the same time and a new application will cancel the previous visa.
(Casa, not CR001)
