Schengen visa for spouse query. Please help...

Hi all,

I was on teir 1 (general) visa and recently got British passport. My wife is still on Teir 1 dependant visa and she needs a shengen visa to travel to France for tourism purpose. I've looked up and there are 2 options for her. (a) standard shengen visa which asks lots of documents (b) Spouse of an E.U. citizen Short stay (less than 90 days) visa which only requires less documents.

My question is can she apply as option (b) Spouse of an E.U. citizen Short stay (less than 90 days)?

Any other alternatives?

For these purposes you are NOT considered an EU Citizen, so option a...
