Name on citizenship ceremony invite

Post by menie13 » Fri Nov 04, 2016 7:35 pm

Hi.

I just received my ceremony invite and I am wondering if the way they displaid my contact details is right? That the ones which are going to appear on the citizenship certificate..

Full name: 1st name middle name maiden name spouse name
Birth name: blank
Date of birth: correct

Should i expect

Full name: 1st name middle name spouse name
Birth name: maiden name

I am asking as it's written on the invite that if the contact details are wrong to still go ahead with the ceremony and then send them back the certificate with what needs to be modified??

Note sure how should appear the full name and if it's a big deal to bother about it?I believe on my passport my full name might appear the same than on the certificate with surname being maiden name + spouse name instead of spouse name only??

Thanks in advance for your help

Yes it is. On my bills, payslips, mortgage appears my spouse name only .
On my French passport my surname appears as per below:
NAME: <Maiden name> ép.<spouse name>

Where ép is for épouse which means spouse. That's the way french authority presents any surname on FR passport. So not sure what should be the best for UK certificate and passport as I guess they need to put somewhere he maiden name ? Or is it something shouldn't bother ?

Thanks not advance
