Tier 5 to Tier 2

Post by inzid » Mon Nov 07, 2016 12:06 pm

Hi there,

Sorry if these are silly questions but my employer (who does not hold a sponsorship licence) is looking at sponsoring me on a Tier 2 Visa.

Ive looked at getting another company to help with this visa process but that is as far as ive got.

I have a degree in Web Development so my director is looking down that route for me to continue being an Administrator (for a Qualification company) but do Marketing and Web Development and head of the E-Learning side of things.

I've heard from various people I would have a strong application but I guess you never know.

My question is ive heard that if I was to do down the Web Development road for sponsorship (for code of practice the code I was looking at was 2137 and the Experienced salary rate was £23,400 ive heard this is going up in November to £25,000 and £30,000 next May. Is this true? Is there any advice I need to do to fast track this application if I sent it in this month so I atleast get allotted before the £30,000 threshold hits.

Hope this makes sense.

Kind regards

they first need to get a licence. this can take around 2 months depending on how good they are with collecting docs.
then they need to issue u a cos.
U have heard correct about the experienced rates.
You could be eligible for new entrant. what is your age and when did u finish studying. Where did u study.

Even if your current employer succeeds in getting a sponsor licence, unlikely that you will be granted a Tier 2 visa as it will be obvious to the Case Worker that you have been pre-selected for the position.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
