Spouse Visa - IELTS (Academic & Life skills)

Post by hn1991 » Thu Nov 10, 2016 2:52 pm

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well. I have quick question regarding proof of English for an overseas spouse visa application.

Can an academic IELTS (higher than A1) be used for the spouse application or does the person specifically have to do the UKVI (Life skills) one?

My fiancée is planning to apply for a postgraduate course as well as the spouse visa hence I wanted to know if we can use the academic one for both. Thanks.

The qualification must be on the UKVI approve list.

Scroll down the list for the relevant country.
