EEA Family Permit advise

Post by joyfrencis » Thu Nov 10, 2016 4:33 pm

Hello Everyone,

I need some advises about this EEA Family Permit. I am a filipino citizen and currently living in Romania with my husband. We both plan to live and work in the UK, but we are afraid that they might refuse my application since my husband has no work currently because he just finished his work contract in Spain. Is it advisable for me to apply for this permit when my husband is just a job seeker for a moment? he got hired when he tried to apply online but they wanted him to be in UK already, but my husband wants me with him when he travels to UK. Another thing I am concerned about is that we are married for 2 months now... and I am quite concern that they might think this is a marriage of conveniece! Please any advise for me in applyin this EEA Family Permit would be awesome! and what documents and supporting documents do I need to show them?
I inted to pass the followin documents:
*my husband's passport and ID
*Marriage certificate (translated)
*Bank statements from his previous work bank account (since he has no personal bank account) and his work contract in spain
* Accomodation details in UK
*Evidence of marriage; such as our pictures when he visited me twice in the Philippines. He stays a month per visit and our facebooks messages, skypes and viber
*My permit of stay in Romania and possibly a house contract
*My valid passport
*Cover letter from my husband... do i need more?

Thank you for taking your time in reading my post

Mabuhay!

Be careful here.
Two months as husband and wife either in Spain and/or Romania is not really enough for hubby to be considered an EEA national under Surinder Singh route.

Note Regulations are changing soon such that students and selfsufficient qualified persons may qualify as SS qualified persons.

Suggest spend a pleasant winter in sunnier climate before attempting move back to UK.
Good luck.

Good point ohara, I thought he was British; maybe mixing up another case.

OP what is your hubby's nationality?
If EEA (not British) then apply and come to UK directly.

My husband is a Romanian.. lived all his life in Romania but worked in Spain for a 3 seasonal contract. That means he is an EEA National, right?

In that case apply for a FP to move with hubby to UK.
Previous activity in another country is immaterial if you are moving together..

Such applications are often refused first time so beef up your documentary supporting evidence, for example in the area of relationship.
