Schengen Visa for germany - for a Bangladesh Citizen

Post by Dynamic-X » Fri Nov 11, 2016 10:28 am

Hi Guys,

I've got a question regarding a schengen visa application for a friend of mine.
She lives in india and is a bangladesh citizen.

So far we prepared all the necessary documents like:
- application form
- 2 passport pictures
- invitation letter
- confirmation of my sponsorship
- travel & health insurance
- 2 weeks travel itinerrary & flight schedules
- confirmation of university
- bank statements from her

so far so good. But still, I have doubts that we can proof the will of return.

She is a student and will graduate next year. She lives in a rented flat and she is not wealthy & has no property. Her Family doesnt live India so she can't proof family bounds. She is 26, single and unmarried and got no children.

We're working together on a YouTube project. We're both vlogger on the platform and we worked already together in India. Now I want to continue the project and work with her in germany.

The invitation letter states that she'll make a 2 week cultural vacation to learn more about germany and the hesse region. I don't know if we should mention the fact that we're working on a youtube project. But in fact: the cultural vacation is true because it's part of the project.

My biggest concern is that the embassy tell her : she will try to stay in germany and refuse the visa. No will of return noticable.

Do you guys got any idea how she can proof the will of return?

thx in advance

Did you get a Verpflichtungserklärung for her or is this an informal letter?

A tourist visa does not allow any kind of work, even unpaid.

Verpflichtungserklärung. But I prepared an invitation letter also just in case they ask for it.

Okay, then it's just a cultural exchange and vacation for her.

Any doubts ? I'm not quite sure if we got everything.

thx

It's not easy for young, unattached people from the subcontinent to get a Schengen visa but a Verpflichtungserklärung carries a lot of weight. I hope you are aware of the legal consequences should she not return at the end of her visit?

She should also provide proof of her legal residence in India - student visa, some other residence permit?

The confirmation of her university, what exactly does it confirm? It should at least state that she has x amount of time left before she gets her degree and that she needs to be back on such and such date at the latest to resume her course. Does she have some sort of transcripts that show that she is studying successfully and she is likely to actually be awarded the degree?
