Interview in naturalisation case

Post by sally786 » Sat Nov 12, 2016 12:12 am

Hello Everybody

I applied for naturalization on 11th Aug 2016, and I got an email today for interview in Liverpool. I was on Tier 1 Visa and got ILR in Feb 2015.

My application was sent by my local council and the council also attached my passport application with the Naturalization application and the officer advise me that they will not call you for any interview.

Any body has any idea, what they ask in naturalization interview?

Please share you experience, Will be thankful

Thanks

You need to give us some idea of your immigration history. Did you overstay at any point, did you use TOEIC English test for any applications etc. Is there anything from your past which would cause HO to doubt your good character?

Tax discrepancies perhaps :?:

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Hello

Thanks for reply. I moved into this country in March 2010. I got indefinite in feb 2015.
I was employed and self employed and all taxes paid.

Life in uk passed , and English language from trinity college B1... No other English test was done .

No criminal convictions , not even traffic points .

I am very worried because everything is very straight forward.

What they will ask in interview and why they call me .

What do you think?

Thanks

There's no way we can know what they plan to ask you if you have no idea yourself. Two common causes for interview calls in these cases are use of TOEIC test and tax issues (especially for self employed).

Is this common for the self-employed? I've been self-employed the entire time I've lived here. All but one of those years I filed through a tax solicitor so they made sure there were no innocent mistakes.
