Lost BRP Met office not giving case reference

Post by akashsuraj » Sun Nov 13, 2016 5:23 pm

Hi I lost my BRP in Ilford area and I approached the met police.
They mentioned they no longer generate a case reference for loss of any identity documents passports or visas

Now the home office form for BRP replace mentions a need for putting case reference.
Can some please help me how to go ahead about this? Also the list of documents would be helpful as well.

Perhaps you can supply them with this URL that describes what to do with lost and found property. The reference guide clearly states what to do if ID documents are lost. You can supply this to them in a print out? http://content.met.police.uk/Site/lostandfound that is what I would do
