Confirmation statement to company house

Dear all,

My company confirmation statement was due yesterday but my accountant not submitted it on time. He said its Ok, don't worry, we can do it on a latter date.

My question is: Is my accountant right, if we submit required confirmation statement on a latter date, assume after 2 weeks?

As I have no knowledge of accounts, that's why a bit worried about it.

1.If you missed the due date (deadline) then you will be fined starting from £150
2.Company House may start process of Striking off (Close down) your company
3.It is criminal offence (for director) if you don't file confirmation statement within 14 days of your due date
4.This may affect your extension as this will appear on public register.

Ask your Accountant to must file by tomorrow as you still can avoid above 1-4 as Companies house normally give relaxation up to 2 working days after the deadline.

The annual confirmation statement is the new name (introduced June 2016) for your company annual return. You can file it with few clicks online and usually do not need your accountant. You better file it on time to avoid future problems
