Tier 2 General extension 3rd time after 5 year

Post by ashishsoni » Sun Nov 20, 2016 2:29 pm

I have already spent 5 years on TIER 2 General visa. I want to extend 3rd time for 1 more year. I can't apply for ILR as i have gap in 5 years tenure. I will need this 1 year extension for ILR. Is it possible?? Any advice highly appreciated.

The max you can stay in T2 (G) is 6 years. So, Yes you can do it.

when did u first get your tier 2? Did it ever expire while you were outside the uk.
The max 6 years tier 2 rules came in either 2012 or 2011.. so if your initial leave was before that time, you could continue to extend your tier 2 for as long as u want.
