Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to have some information prior to my Naturalisation application.
I came in the UK as a minor refugee in 2006,
Then I applied for refugee status and I have been granted in 2009 5 years leave to remain.
Then in 2014 I've ipplied for Indefinitive leave to remain and it has been granted.
Now in November 2016 I would like to apply for British naturalisation but I have read that some rules have changed for refugees.
It says that if I have committed any immigration crimes in the past 10 years my application could be refused.
I have been living in the uk for 10 years and 5 months now and I would like to know it they could still refuse my application on the grounds of illegal entry even though I have registered at the immigration in Croydon only days after my first entry in the UK.
I also meet all of the other criterias
I'm of good character I have never committed any crime or recived a fine in my whole life.
I meet the Residence period
I've passed the Life in the uk test
I have the Gese grade 5 B1 English certificate from trinity college.
I still have all of the documents from the home office since I came to this country.
But I am worried they may refuse my application due to the entry even thought 10 years have passed. I also have another question in the last 12 months prior to my application I have been outside the UK for 108 days I would like to know if they will consider and exemption for 18 days or if it's likely that they will refuse my application because of this.
Looking forward to hearing from you
