Child first british passport ,, documents evidence help

Hello im really confuse about the documents needed for evidence , the booklet with the application forms says one thing and the advice people says another thing, what exactly should i send with my child,s first passport , hes been given certificate of registration and father is british , and mothers passport and other papers stuffs are with the home office.
