Visitor visa

Hello. I am trying apply my visitors visa to visit my brother. But I am worried I may be refused. The reason is I was illegal immigrant in one of the EEA country for long time then now I am legal. And I am unemployed at the moment but I can show my bank statement having money about 10000 EURO.

I am single man do you think I may be refused especially I am unemployed now? Any advice? Thank you.

Yes, my understanding is there may be consequences for such a visa application.
