GNIB Appointments & Re Entry Appointments Not Available

Post by dhruv87 » Wed Nov 23, 2016 1:25 pm

Hello guys,

From September 2016, they have written to book GNIB appointments 6 weeks before your expiry. But I just found out last week, they have written to book your GNIB appointments 10 weeks before. I was on the website from last week and there is no appointments at all, my wife gnib will outta date from 17th January 2017 and I am trying to book appointment but no slots at all.

Now I can only find slots for end of January 2017. But there will be a gap now on her GNIB. Is that going to make any effects.I have booked flights to back home for "2nd week of Febuary, Hope we will get our GNIB and Re entry on time.

Not happy with INIS department appointments system at all. Its a disgrace, I think lots of people experience the same situation that I am. :(

Hi,

same situation here.

My wife's GNIB card is expiring at the beginning of February and there are not slots left until end of that month.

I sent them an email and from their automatic message you can notice that:

''If your query relates to a renewal of your existing immigration permission
and you cannot secure an appointment to renew your immigration permission
before your current immigration permission expires, this office will treat
any gaps as a grace period and it will not have an adverse effect on your
immigration history.

It is advisable to go on line ten weeks prior to the expiry of your
permission and book your appointment for a date in the final two weeks of
your permission''

Hope this helps
