Visa expiry during processing

Post by jdsouza » Thu Nov 24, 2016 2:00 pm

Hi, I am about to apply for FLR(M) visa for my family. We still have about 6weeks on the visa. Would it be advisable to apply online? What happens if there is a delay in processing the application and their visa expires?

Regards,
JD

The legal status of the applicants will remain unchanged while the application is being processed, regardless of how long this takes.

The NHS surcharge of £500 for each applicant will be payable in addition to the visa fee.

Be aware that if FLR(M) is applied for more than 28 days before the 2.5 year qualifying period, it will leave a shortfall for ILR and will require an additional extension to fill the gap.
