Replace Key Contact in SMS

Post by REDDY5339 » Thu Nov 24, 2016 10:36 pm

Hi all,
Recently our Key contact (KC) HR Manager has resigned from our organisation.
I’m resumed the responsibilities of Key contact along with Authorising officer / Director the position that I currently hold at our organisation.
I’ve updated the replace Key contact through Sponsor Management System, Submitted the request successfully and received change request number.

But I didn’t got an option to proceed to ‘Submission Sheet’.(followed the steps from SMS Guide)

Under ‘View recent and outstanding change request’ the status is ‘Pending’

Just wondering whether I need to submit the sheet?
Usually how many days it will take to approve the request?

Regards

Unless the rules changed very recently a submission sheet with the new AO/KC's original signature and copy passport (if he is a non-EEA national) have to be posted to the Home Office. Call the employer helpline 0300 123 4699 to ask why you couldn't download it.

Once the submission sheet is sent it takes quite a long time for the new AO/KC's name to appear on the SMS. The official processing time is up to 18 weeks but in practice it will be 1 month+.

I've spoken to employer helpline, they said that we don't need to submit the sheet to replace the Key Contact (KC), need to submit the sheet to replace AO.

so,I don't need to submit the sheet as i'm replacing the KC.

Thanks again
