Naturalisation 5yr support evidence for unemployment periods

Post by mimilcah1 » Fri Nov 25, 2016 10:06 pm

Hi im applying for my naturalisation for british passport
and l need to provide 5 years of lawful residence.

l went to college BUT during the summer holidays was unemployed, not claiming any benefits or anything because l live with my parents and there was no need for me to claim benefits or job seekers .... from 2011 to 2014 l went to college and each year l have a gap for the summer holidays.
- My question is... what would l use during this gap between july - september?

When l was finished college it took me a while to find work, and when l did some jobs where temps... so l have gaps between job to job. & again... l live with my parents and there was no need for me to claim benefits or job seekers
- My question is... what would l need to provide as supporting evidence?

l also wanted to ask... l have lived in the same address for over 5 years now. If l was to contact the estate agent or Landlord to write me a Reference to say l have lived here for over 5 years.... Would that count as evidence of lawful residence or would it be rejected by the home office?
- l have read section 3 of the form but it doesnt say specifically what other things l can provide other than, p60 or work & education references.

HELP!!

You are not trying to prove economic activity or even that you were exercising treaty rights - just proof of residence in UK.

If you are non-EEA with stamped passports submit them.

if you are EEA with no relevant stamps in passport then use alternative evidence...
Submit any/all official documents, for example:
tax, council tax, medical (health authority/doctor/dentist/optician etc), insurance (house/car), voter registration, drivers license, house rental/contract & etc etc.
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.
