Permanent Residence Card rejected

Post by AAAL » Sat Nov 26, 2016 4:59 am

Hi,

My application for permanent residency for EEA has been rejected as I did not provide enough evidence of my history.

However I could have been asked to provide those documents, instead of being rejected, and in the letter the Immigration Offficer mentioned that I can appeal or re-apply, but there is no suggestion of Re-consideration.

Question: could I request a Re-Consideration in order to submit another document?
Can anyone confirm the cost of Re-consideration is £ 272?

By the way just for you to consider APPEAL is now £480, against the old tariff of 80 pounds, I feel that there has been an extreme change..

The massive increase in appeal fees has been reversed. https://www.freemovement.org.uk/governm ... increases/

Regardless, it's far cheaper and faster to simply apply again. I don't see how you can appeal or ask for reconsideration if it was your fault for not providing enough evidence :?

Thank you for the response, it is my responsibility to provide the correct documentation, but it is very challenging if you think you have provided enough and the immigration office is not satisfied.

I do not think it would be faster though to re-apply.
Well, if I wish to ask for reconsideration, what is the cost?

Appeals can take 1 year or more and cost more than the £65 fee for the application.

Why are you so determined to appeal rather than simply applying again? If your application was refused due to not providing the correct documentation, I don't understand why you would want to appeal against their decision instead of simply having another go and getting it right.

The appeal fee is now £80 for paper consideration and 140 for oral hearing.

I do not wish to appeal, I want to submit another document through RECONSIDERATION, what is the cost of reconsideration?

Reconsideration is not usually available, unless they did something wrong.
