NARIC degree comparability and IELTS

Hi All

I am planning to switch my employer on Tier 2 G. From 6th April 2016 the point based calculator is removed. So I have to either obtain the NARIC certificate for English language (as my degree is from India) or score more than 4.0 in all sections of IELTS. I am planning to give IELTS as it will be less costly for me.

My question is that even after obtaining IELTS, do I still require NARIC certificate to show the degree comparability for my Tier 2 G application? I have used the same qualification in my previous T2G applications.

for change of employer, you do not need to prove english requirement.
For ilr application, if and when u apply, u will need english language requirement. However, comparability of your degree is not needed at any point.

Thanks iworker. I have anyway booked IELTS General, but I can use that result for ILR application in 2018. I think IELTS result is valid for 2 years. Thanks again.
