Tier2 to ILR absences

Post by rg_36 » Tue Nov 29, 2016 2:32 pm

Hi there,

I am on Tier 2 Visa and I frequently visited my home country in current 12 month period. My absences this year are more than my annual leave and I was allowed to work from my country for couple of weeks. Is this allowed for ILR eligibility? Please advice,

Thanks,
RG

This should be fine, provided that:

- You didn't spend more than 180 days in any given year outside the country

- Your employer writes a letter confirming you were working during those dates.

Hi Thanks for your reply. do I need to provide or show any evidence that I am working? in the ILR document it is not clear if the absence from UK allowed unless it is a business trip. Please clarify if I am wrong.

Many thanks again!
