Tier-2 ICT Dependent stay while Main applicant is away

Hi,

I am on my wife's dependent visa (Tier-2 ICT long term staff partner). She may have to travel to India early Jan 2017 and return in about 1 and a half month, as she is expected to be tagged to a new project and the project dates are yet to be confirmed. I am working with a company here in UK. Can I stay back until she returns.

There is no stated time period that would specifically trigger a question over the validity of your stay in the U.K. With the main applicant being outside of the U.K.

It is more to do with intention and circumstances. If the intention is for the main applicant to return after the business trip and that the UK is considered the ongoing place of main residence there are no issues.

If the main applicant leaves the UK with the intent of not returning or has had their employment terminated then that is a different position all together.
