Tier2 General Sponsorship Cancelled. Can I travel?

Post by sidharth1987 » Sat Dec 03, 2016 8:40 pm

Hello,

I am on Tier 2 General Visa and currently my employer's sponsorship license has been suspended. The employer said that he got another two weeks to submit any documents to home office. But I have checked in the registered list and my employer's name has been removed already. I haven't received any notifications from UKBA yet.

At this present condition, Can I travel outside UK and re-enter? What if my employer's sponsor license cancelled when I'm outside UK? Will boarder officers stop me entering to UK?

Thank you,
Sidharth

UKBA was abolished in 2013.
Its UKVI you (and employer) are dealing with.

No sponsor means no visa. So that means no re-entry into UK.

Problem is i haven't got any notifications yet. I have read a thread says i will get 60 days to find a new sponsor. But within this 60 days i cant go out and come back right?

Correct. Avoid traveling during this period.

All,

I find myself in a not too dissimilar situation. I have decided to head home and have tendered my resignation. My employer will presumably write to the UKVI/UKBA informing them that my employment has come to an end and I will receive the letter/notification that I have two months left on my visa and I will no longer have leave to enter the UK after the specified expiry date.

My question is can I come and go to and from the UK until the specified expiry date. I was hoping to do some sightseeing in Europe before I finally leave the UK. For example, once I receive the notification, if it states my leave to enter expires on 31 August 2017, and I decide to go on holiday on 15 August 2017 can I re-enter the UK on 20 August?

Many thanks in advance for any pearls of wisdom.

Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
