Post by AKOKO » Mon Dec 05, 2016 7:09 am

I recently applied for British naturalisation on 10/11/2016 ,did my biometric on 21/11/2016 but after reading most of your advices or comments I want to explain my situation I am eu national excising treaty right since 2009 received a letter from hmrc 2014 that my work underpayment tax on my wages well I made arrangements with them paying 150£ every month and after did my biometric on Monday 21/11/2016 I made the final payment of 3,632£ to hmrc on 25/11/2016.
Do I still need to inform HO about the payment or could what the previous debt affect my application thanks please

What was the reason for underpaying tax?

If it was a genuine error (either on yours or HMRC's part), no need to worry, especially as you have paid it off.

If it was deception, well then, that's a different story :?

Well it wasn't your fault, so it shouldn't be a problem.
