Newborn Tier 2 Visa Applied but an urgent travel has come up

Post by Annie G » Mon Dec 05, 2016 11:25 pm

Dear Members
I wonder if you could help me with your experiences please ? I have applied for my new borns visa on 25th October 2016 and submitted her biometric on 9th November. However in the meanwhile my father in law has taken ill and we have booked to travel to India on the 15th Dec but I have still not received the passport back .
8 called the help centre and they advised me to send a letter to Sheffield explaining this and with my ticket but they did say I haven't given enough time to the application which I do agree . does anyone else have similar experience and do you think that will understand our situation and expedite it for us ? Is there anything else we can do ?
Is there any other way I can Contact Sheffield other than writing ?

We stay in shetland and travel involves 4 legs of journey and a lot of money that might go to waste so worried sick

Why does everyone have to travel?
UKVI may not be flexible enough to work round your plans so hope for best but have a Plan B.

I agree ! Completely our misfortune that we made the booking without thinking it through but is there anything else we can do ? Any fax numbers or email for Sheffield where we could send in a request ?
