Spouse visa from Philippines

Post by prolife » Wed Dec 07, 2016 10:32 pm

I am British citizen and live in UK. My wife will apply for spouse visa from Philippines. I have few questions:

1) On sponsor letter, is it required to have my signature and date on which I wrote that letter? I am asking because if no signature and date is required, I can simply send her an email and she can print that letter. Otherwise, I will have to send by international post.

2) Our marriage certificate shows her maiden name, but her renewed Philippines passport is in husband's last name. Is this ok with British embassy to have marriage certificate and passport in different names?

3) Is it ok to include simple photocopies of sponsor's UK passport? Or, do they need to be certified? I actually took picture of my passport pages and sent to her which she printed.

Thanks

1) A letter needs to be signed and dated.
An anonymous printout is meaningless.

2) This is explainable

3) As I recall, properly certified copy is required

Is it acceptable if sponsor letter was written 3 months before visa appointment date?

If it still makes sense.
