Tier 2 Visa Vignette Transfer due to inability to travel

Post by Zshan » Fri Dec 09, 2016 12:17 pm

Deal all

Ive got my Tier 2 visa recently along with my dependants. But unfortunately, they haven't considered my intended date of travel (15th February 2017) and has given me one month validity visa vignette from 30th November - 30th December 2016 (according to my CoS) during which i can't travel. Someone told me to apply for Visa Vignette transfer which will cost me £189 per application. Now I have a few questions:
1. Can I apply for visa vignette transfer before expiry of current one?
2. Will they consider my intended date of travel this time or will give me just one month extension from date of new submission?
3. When I am creating a new application online using <visa category =other <subtype =other < visa vignette transfer > it gives me a message of transfer to new passport expired or stolen, I mean it doesn't give any info about vignette transfer due to different travel dates. Is this route okay to make application?

Kindly reply my queries.
Kind Regards
Zshan

If you had specified an intended travel date in your application, then they should not have ignored it. Ask for a free correction.

Thanks for your reply Vinny. I did complaint through Visa Application centre and directly as well to UK border agency regarding this mistake. Reply which I received from Visa Application Centre is that the UK embassy is not accepting their error rather saying it depends on CoS and not on intended date of travel & I have to apply for Visa Vignette transfer. I am still waiting for the reply from UK border agency.

By the grace of God, I have got my visa rectified free of cost. I complained at http://ukvi-int.faq-help.com/ and got my visa rectified in 10 days without any additional cost. Visa issuing officer asked me to provide a "No Objection Letter" from my employer regarding my joining, which I submitted.

I believe now they are giving visa validity according to work start date on certificate of sponsorship. So its better to check this before applying for visa and if its not what you desire, ask your employer to change it.

Thanks vinny for your advice.
