ILR 8years

Hi,

I applied ILR from 5year and 9months of Tier2 visa..

I only got 8 years not 10 years.. It does expire in 2024.

Does anyone why this could be?

That's the expiry date of the card not of the status.

2024 is something to do with the encryption algorithm used in the card chips, or so I've heard.
