BRP Delivery receiving behalf of partner

Hi

I want to know my wife will be going to see her family in Manchester.

When DX delivers her BRP she won't be home to receive it and says need to have proof such as bank card, passport etc.. to receive the BRP card.

Now my question is can I receive the BRP card on behalf of her just showing her proof of ID and sign for it.

I have read on forums most people have showed there partners proof of ID when they Delivered it having no problem.

Let me know guys asap if you have received the card on behalf of partner only showing her proof of id

I'm not sure how this works but my wife received all 4 BRPs for our family. The courier never asked for her ID.
