Hi Guys,
I am a Turkish National living in the UK with a Biometric Residence Permit as a Spouse/Partner (Leave to Enter) to a British Citizen. My BRP was issued on 12.10.16 and is valid until 13.7.19.
My husband (British) and I were hoping to drive from the UK to Turkey, stay there for a few weeks and then drive back. The route would be a ferry to Calais, driving through France into Italy, then take a ferry to Greece (all Schengen countries) and lastly drive into to Turkey.
As a Turkish Citizen with a UK BRP married to a British Citizen, do I need a visa for this trip? I have read conflicting answers on this, some say you do need a Schengen Visa, and some say in these circumstances you just need to take your passport (in my case a Turkish passport) and UK BRP Card as long as you're travelling with your British Spouse?
I do not plan to stay in France or Italy or Greece (unless I have to!), simply drive through with my Husband. Do I still need a Schengen Visa for this? Or do I need a transit visa from each country (France, Italy, Greece)? If I have to apply for a Schengen, I will not be able to show any flight tickets/hotel reservations/invitations as we only plan to drive through. Of course, a few weeks later we will be driving back on the same route.
Any help on this would be amazing. Thanks!
