Tier 4 Application Questions

Post by KhaledAnwar » Sat Dec 17, 2016 12:09 pm

I am submitting my application on Monday...

My agent who filled up my application made an error on the section mentioned below :

HAVE YOU BEEN ISSUED ANY VISA FOR THE UK, UK OVERSEAS TERRITORIES OR COMMONWEALTH COUNTRY IN THE LAST 10 YEARS?

He mentioned my visit to Australia but didn't put my visit to Malaysia and India but mentioned all my travel history in the HAVE YOU EVER TRAVELLED OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE, EXCLUDING THE UK, IN THE LAST 10 YEARS section?.

He already submitted my application and already paid for my IHS charge.

Kindly please suggest what can I do now...

Thank you...

I am not sure why you are making a distinction between a "visit" and your "travel history"? Are they not the same thing, all part of your travel history?

If the missing travel information is clear from the passport you are using in your application, then the ECO should apply evidential flexibility. If not, I advise you speak to your representative about possibly withdrawing the application.

Unless this was your error because you didn't check it properly, you might also want to rethink your strategy of allowing a representative to apply on your behalf, apparently without allowing you to check the application before it was sent!

Thanks for your reply...

will you please kindly explain how the ECO will use evidential flexibility?

Thank you once again.

Maintenance Fund Withdrawal

Post by KhaledAnwar » Sat Dec 31, 2016 5:11 pm

I submitted my visa application on 19th Dec 2016. As per that days Oanda rate 9135 GBP was equivalent to BDT 907,790...

I have set aside 1,200,000 BDT for my maintenance.

Now my query is can I withdraw 200,000 BDT from my bank account?

When you applied, you confirmed that you met Appendix C, paragraph 1A(ca):

If the applicant is applying for entry clearance or leave to remain as a Tier 4 Migrant, he must confirm that the funds ... are:
(i) available ... for his use in studying and living in the UK; and
(ii) that the funds will remain available ... unless used to pay for course fees and living costs;

So of course you can use the money to pay for your course fees and living costs. I don't advise you use them for anything else, or you are in effect saying you did not tell he truth about meeting that requirement.
