UK Visit VISA for a Cuban

Hi there,
I am new to this forum, but I am looking for support with a UK Visit Visa (or Short Term Study Visa) application for a Cuban, to come into the UK. I am trying to bring my girlfriend from Havanna into the UK for 6 months to study English, so she can better her job/life in Cuba.

The issue is around her working situation. Many/every Cuban is 'employed' by the Government and paid a very basic amount each month to cover their living expenses. This is part of the Communist regime there.
I am not interested in people political bents or views, but as to how this is seen by the UK Gov.

This money is paid in cash, with no paperwork to support it. My partner there does not have a usual bank

She also has a license to work independently, but again, all her work is cash based and is low income, so no invoices/receipts/bank statements are available.

I am trying to show/document her job status and wondered if anyone else has expereince in this same situation with Cuba?

Any advice or experience of this would be great to her about.

Showing ties such that visitor will return home is key here.

And caseworkers will (probably) be familiar and experienced with Cuba situation.

Yes, I agree, and that has been the issue in the past. Without showing she has a job, they seem very sceptical.

Understanding how to best present this situation on the application is what I seeking support for here on this forum.

And unfortunately, my case workr, and infact the entire team at the Immigration Solicitor, do not seem to have any experience of Cuba!!
